Aldyn Able
Supreme Champion Market Lamb
Fredericksburg, VA show
Sired by Power Point

The day started with anyone who wanted to shear their lambs under instruction. The kids sheared their own lambs and were guided through the process

We then had a demonstration by Daniel May, Augusta Co-Op on the Honor Top dress products.

Some were way above others on this topic.

We then had our show judged by Rosalea Riley

Rosalea was very good with the kids and gave great tips throughout the day |

She “huddled” the groups after each class which was appreciated by all |

Sometimes the decisions were tuff |

But in the end hard work pays off. Champion Showmanship |

AUVILLE ANNUAL CLUB LAMB WORKSHOP - 2009
This year we decided to have a show and were quite pleased with the enthusiasm! |
We started the day with shearing of lambs.
Here, Jeffery Meadows is learning how to shear his lamb.
We then held showmanship classes and
exhibitors were given instruction along the way.
All the showmen did an excellent job showing their lambs
Jessica Meadows was our Champion Showman
We then held classes according
to weight.
Even during the weight classes, participants
were given instruction on what to look for
Aldyn Able shows her experience as she shows her ewe lamb.
In the end, Dakata Rhodes had the Champion Lamb.
While we didn’t have a commercial ewe class, judge Troy Lawson pulled out the Ellingson sisters to spotlight their exception ewe lambs.
But all in all a good time was had by all as
shown by Caley Ellingson
